Emma(Rating: 9.5/10)
Wonderful wonderful seinen romance! Emma is about the spark of a romance between a maid and a nobleman set in the Victorian Era.
I think this manga’s selling point is its setting. It’s so very interesting to see how their romance unfolds in an environment few (or none) of the readers have experienced and the mangaka (Kaoru Mori) creates this world so magnificently.
The relationship development is not bad either. It can get a bit frustrating sometimes, thus the 9.5 rating. However, it’s not dragging! So go on and read it now!
I’m afraid some people will find it a bit boring and dry. As it is seinen, and is targeted to more mature readers.
If you like Emma, I suggest you also read Emma Further Tales!
